Brenda Giordano is a trained spiritual director in the Christian tradition.

She is currently welcoming new directees. She sees women and men online around the world, and women in person in the Seattle/Bellevue (located in zip code 98008) area of Washington State, USA. Online scheduling makes booking a session easy and convenient.

I always knew I was ‘something spiritual’ and years ago called myself a ‘spiritual midwife’, being present and attendant at holy moments in the lives of others. When I learned about spiritual direction, God rang a bell for me and said, “This is what you are”. I am a member of three spiritual director associations; Christ-centered Spiritual Direction Association (CSDA), Association of Covenant Spiritual Directors (ACSD), and the Pacific Northwest Conference Spiritual Directors Network (of the Covenant Church). The professions that have crafted me before becoming a spiritual director including thirty years as a master’s prepared registered nurse and fifteen years working with multi-national computer software development teams.

“The goal of spiritual direction is spiritual formation—the ever-increasing capacity to live a spiritual life from the heart. A spiritual life cannot be formed without discipline, practice, and accountability.”

Spiritual direction has expanded my view of prayer. It is not just speaking and listening to God, but imagining, welcoming, and being silent in regular rhythms.

The topics in spiritual direction are unlimited because God breaks into our lives in unlimited ways. That is what we try to notice: ‘Where is God moving?’

Listening to my directees fills me with wonder and awe at how our mighty, creative, and loving God the Father, the Spirit, and our Lord Jesus personally engage with us.

I’d love to meet you, in person (Seattle Area) or online (Zoom) to see if spiritual direction with me may be a next step for you in your walk with God.

Walking among trees is almost always a holy experience for me. I hope the photos I’ve taken of trees motivates you to get out and walk with God among them.
